They are sisters. Their names Marvelis, Rissel, and Yaina, they are known as Pegasis. Their high altitude vocals makes it sound as though they may flying high very soon.
They were born in the Dominican Republic, but are currently based in Wisconsin, USA. Their musical career spans more than a decade. Their most recent projects include a collaboration with Steve March Torme and a performance at the Brown County Library’s music showcase “Stacks and Steeples”. Pegasis has also received a Wisconsin Artist Music Industry nomination for Best World/ Latin/Ska/Reggae artists.
Audiences who have seen and heard Pegasis perform know that they usually write and perform their own music to encourage other artists to do so.
Each performance focuses on tight harmonies, inventive arrangements, and engaging lyricism. Although influenced by their Hispanic origins, Pegasis describes their sound as “world music” because to them, music is a global experience. Enjoy them singing an African/American Spiritual which really suits their superb sibling harmonies.
